Dutch winters can be harsh and the Dutch people always prepare by dragging big bags of salt home to toss around to prevent slippery sidewalks or patios. We call this salt ‘Strooizout’, so ‘salt to toss around’ to get rid of snow and ice. We also call our beloved Smiths salted snacks ‘zoutjes’. So one plus one makes two. The result? A limited big sized bag of your favourite ‘zoutjes’ so that you are prepared to stay in during winter. The copy line reads: ‘Make sure you get the right salt this winter’
